- Holds for on-shelf items are processed 3 times per day (8 am, 2 pm, 8 pm)
- Patrons who are in the library and pick up an item will be given priority over patrons who have placed a hold online for the same item.
- Loan periods may be shortened to one week in the event of multiple holds.
- You cannot renew an item if someone places a hold on it.
All items that are currently checked out can be recalled by placing a hold. Initial loan periods for books are 3 weeks for undergraduate students and 5 weeks for graduate students. These initial loan periods are guaranteed.
If these items are renewed, they are subject to recall and their due date will be adjusted to reflect a shortened renewal period. Faculty and staff can check out books for 4 months; however, only the first 3 weeks are guaranteed. After that time, items can be recalled.
Recall notices will be sent to the borrowers UFV email account. This email will include the new due date.
