Q. What is a periodical?

A periodical is a journal, newspaper, trade paper or magazine that is published periodically. We have a libguide, Types of Periodicals, that explains things more fully.

It is also given as a location in our library catalogue. If the location is periodical you will find the item placed alphabetically on the shelf. In Abbotsford the periodicals are at the back of the main floor and in Chilliwack they are to the left as you come into the library.
