UFV has two kinds of bookable study spaces available to Students: Group Study Rooms & PODs.

Group Study Rooms are for, as the name states, groups of 4 to 8 students. PODs (Private Online Desks) are for individual students looking for a quiet study space.

You can book Group Study Rooms at both Chilliwack and Abbotsford libraries online. PODs can only be booked at the Abbotsford Library.

On the Library homepage, click Book a Study Room.

To book a Group Study Room, click on the blue left-hand icon.

The next page details rules, guidelines and polices concerning Group Study Rooms.

 

Next, Click Book a group study room from your desired library.

 

On the Search Spaces page, change the Zone drop-down menu to Group Study Rooms, as well as select the desired Date and Time. A Group Study Room can be booked for a maximum of 2 hours (consecutively) per booking.

Click Search.

Select a room by clicking Book Now.

You will be required to enter your name and student UFV email address. This is where the confirmation email will be sent.

Click Submit my Booking.

You will have approx. 5 minutes to go to your student email and confirm the booking. Failure to do so will prompt our booking system to automatically delete your booking request, and other students will be able to book the room.


To book a POD, click on the green right-hand icon.

Click Book a POD.

 

On the Search Spaces page, change the Zone drop-down menu to PODs, as well as select the desired Date and Time. A POD can be booked for a maximum of 3 hours (consecutively) per booking.

Hit Search.

 NOTE: There is only one accessible POD (POD 3) located in the Stacks on the second floor. It is intended for 1 person only.

Select a POD by clicking Book Now.

You will be required to enter your name and student UFV email address. This is where the confirmation email will be sent.

Click Submit my Booking.
